Sturgeon Cruise Tickets On Sale Now

Are your kids interested in really big fish? Take them on an adventure that they won’t soon forget.

Tickets are available for the Sturgeon Cruise, planned for June 3rd, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. The cruise is part of the annual Sturgeon Fest, sponsored by Friends of the St. Clair River.

The cruise is an hour and a half long and takes place on the Huron Lady, a local boat used for sightseeing in the Blue Water area. Tickets are $35 per person.

The cruise will feature live sturgeon encounters, which don’t happen every day. Sturgeon are called the “Gentle Giants of the Great Lakes”. They are huge fish: over 100 pounds, over 6 feet long, and can live to be over 100 years old.

Sheri Faust, President of Friends of the St. Clair River, said, “Over 10,000 Lake sturgeon call underneath the Blue Water Bridges home which makes it possible to see these gentle giants during our Sturgeon Cruise. The cruise offers opportunities to ask questions to the biologists studying sturgeon and learn about their Great Lakes research.”
