YMCA of the Blue Water Area Plans to Keep Kids Active, Fed During Summer 2025

Y on the Fly Visits Local Neighborhoods-Free Food at Some Locations

The YMCA of the Blue Water Area will be making the rounds with sports equipment lending. They will be at the Port Huron Recreation Center at Palmer Park and the Marysville Community Center.

They are also planning free family fitness nights at the McMorran Plaza where kids in kindergarten through 5th grade can play with Y on the Fly staff while parents take a fitness class. The Family Fun Nights on the Plaza are June 16th, July 21st, and August 18th from 5:30-6:15 p.m.

There are also Y on the Fly Pop-Up Sites planned from June 16th to August 22nd. They will be at Woodrow Wilson School on Mondays from 1:00-2:30 p.m., Gratiot Park on Mondays from 3:30-5:00 p.m.. They will be at Gratiot Village on Tuesdays from 1:00-2:30 and at Optimist Park from 3:30-5:00 on Tuesdays. Food will be served at the Gratiot Village location.

On Wednesdays, Y on the Fly will be at North Point Village from 12:30-2:00 p.m., at Dulhut Village from 1:00-2:30, and at Pine Grove Park from 3:30-5:00 p.m. Food will be avaialble at the Dulhut location.

On Thursdays, Y on the Fly will be at Huron Village, with food avaialble, from 2:30-4:00 p.m. On Fridays, they will be at the Court Street Pool from 12:30-2:00 p.m.

Camps, Sports, and More

The YMCA of the Blue Water Area is offering plenty of programming at their location in Downtown Port huron. They have sports classes for kids from ages 4 to 13, Volleyball for kids in 4th grade through high school, and camps for several sports for a variety of ages.

They also offer babysitting courses, Sparks Camps, which help to “spark” interest in Arts and Crafts and cooking. There are also teen rec nights, and more. The full schedules can be found at bluewaterymca.com.
