Parenting Classes
Parenting is the most important job in the world. The job description is always changing: from changing diapers to teaching how to read to watching your child become an indiependent adult. It’s not easy, and it takes intention.
Two local outreach groups are offering parenting help.
SONS Outreach Parent Circles Group
SONS Outreach, a Port Huron-based organization, is starting Parent Circles Groups this fall. The faith-based organization will start the groups on November 4th at their location at 55 15th Street, in the former Harrison School, in Port Huron. The groups will meet bi-weekly on Tuesdays from 6:00-7:30 p.m. through the end of March. Childcare is provided. More information can be found by calling SONS Outreach at 810-989-SONS (7667).

Parenting Basics with OT
Port Huron’s Operation Transformation, a faith-based group, is offering a Parenting Basics Class on Wednesday, November 12th, from 6-8 p.m.
The class will be facilitated by Tom and Brenda Seppo, It is a curriculum they have developed. The one-night class is for anyone, with a suggested $25 fee. To register, call 810.966.8660.
