Pine River Nature Center in Goodells, Michigan, has announced several spring family events. The expansive nature center features not only hiking trails, but a treehouse and a large building with plenty of spaces for learning and exploring.
Animal Encounters
Animal Encounters is planned for Monday, March 30th, at 10:00 a.m. and Thursday, April 2nd, at 10:00 a.m. Many school districts are on Spring Break during this time. Animal Encounters is a hands-on experience with reptiles.

Wander and Wonder Hike
Families can explore the woods while spring is just getting started. The 1.5-2 hour hike takes families through the trails with Naturalist Monique Werner. This hike is not stroller-friendly. The cost is $6 per family. The experience ends with a spring craft. Register here.
Treehouse Trek
The crown jewel of Pine River Nature Center is the treehouse. Families can trek to the treehouse and then listen to a story up in the trees. The Treehouse Trek starts at 9:00 a.m. on April 1st. The experience lasts about 60-90 minutes.
