St. Clair County 4-H and Youth Fair Promises a Week of Family Fun

July 20-25, 2026

The St. Clair County 4-H and Youth Fair is held every summer in July at Goodells County Park and features the projects and livestock of area youth who are involved in 4-H programs. This year’s fair is July 20th through 25th.

Best Family Fair!

The fair is widely considered the best in Michigan. Could you really spend six days there? Yes, you absolutely could! Although the projects and animals are the main event, there is so much more to see and do. The fair has a huge carnival midway, tons of vendors and exhibits, numerous food options (think elephant ears, walking tacos, fresh lemonade, and more), plenty of live music, and stellar evening entertainment.

Carnival

The St. Clair County 4-H and Youth Fair features one of the best carnivals in Michigan, run by the Skerbeck Family. Pricing varies by day. Click here for more details: https://stclaircounty4hfair.org/carnival/.

What is 4-H?

4-H is a national youth organization. Fair week is the week where participants show their exhibits, animals or “still” exhibits (like vegetables, photography, cake decorating, etc.) to get judged. Awards are given to the top exhibitors. In addition, livestock are often sold at the fair, and the many weeks of caring for the livestock are rewarded with money when the livestock is sold. Have fun at the fair!
