Water Walkers Presentation with Carol Trembath
November 8, 2023 @ 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM
FreeFrom SCCLS – The Water Walker story by Michigan author, Carol Trembath, is contemporary and historical at the same time. It sends a strong message about the protection of water through the eyes of a young girl. Though fiction, the story is based on the real-life Ojibway Mother Earth Water Walkers. Their mission is to raise collective consciousness regarding treating water with dignity and respect. The presentation addresses the issues of clean water, the environment, and of Native people’s ongoing mission to protect the Great Lakes and waterways across the United States and Canada. Carol is a former educator, librarian, and author with several award-winning books.
