Meet the BlueWaterParent.com Team

Meet Lyndsey Brownfield – Partner & Content Creator
Growing up in St. Clair County, Lyndsey experienced firsthand the unique magic of the Blue Water Area. Now, as she rediscovers that joy through the eyes of her own children, her mission is to weave a stronger thread of connection throughout the community she has always called home.
Lyndsey brings a wealth of experience in family-centered operations to the platform. From her years spent as a nanny to managing operations for music and dance schools across the country, she understands the heartbeat of family life and the logistical “magic” it takes to keep things running smoothly. She excels at organizing people and resources—a skill she is thrilled to apply to building local community resources.
At home, life is beautifully busy. Lyndsey has been married for nearly five years and is the proud mama of two little ones. Their household recently grew by four paws with the addition of a sweet kitty named Ginny. When she isn’t curating the latest local events or juggling kids, you can find her tucked away with a good book, working on an embroidery project, or lost in a puzzle and a podcast.
Through her work with Blue Water Parent, Lyndsey hopes to offer local families more than just a calendar of events; she wants to provide a sense of belonging and the inspiration to create lasting memories right here in our own backyard.

Meet Jennie McClelland – Founder, Partner, & Content Creator
While raising her children, Jennie has worked as a freelancer in the communications and education industries and as a volunteer for various organizations. She started BlueWaterParent.com in 2014 and took a break from the active publication of the online resource from late 2019 to mid-2022 to pursue other projects. Jennie decided to update and restart BlueWaterParent.com for a new generation of families in late summer 2022. Jennie is thrilled to be partnering with Lyndsey to continue to provide a valuable resource to both advertisers and families in the Blue Water Area.

Meet Taylor Morrison – Content Creator
Tayler is a contributing writer specializing in pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. She is a certified full-spectrum doula and childbirth educator. Tayler is also a mom and homemaker who spends her free time in the garden, practicing yoga, reading, and enjoying the outdoors with her family.

Meet Jackie Davidson – Content Creator
Jackie is a mom to three beautiful girls. Jackie and her husband Jeff, grew up in the Blue Water Area and promptly moved back after college. With an education degree, Jackie taught for about 9 years and earned a master’s in education before she transitioned to being a stay-at-home mom to her twins.
Jackie describes her family as a typical family with sports activities, play dates, and fighting about eating dinner but they have one big twist: autism. Their daughter was diagnosed as autistic at the age of 3 and her family’s lives have never been quite the same since encountering this life-altering moment.
As a contributor to the BlueWaterParent.com Autism Guide, Jackie hopes that readers will find an ally, a voice, and a resource to learn from. She said, “With autism occurring at a 1 in 36 children rate you might be naive to think you don’t know or have not met a child with autism. Autism is important not only to navigate as the parent, but also as the friend, the family, and the parent to a student who is in class with children who are autistic. Let’s grow together.”
