Boat the Blue September 5-6 2025

Boat the Blue Brings Free Entertainment and Boat Rides for the Whole Family September 5-6

Published 9/3/2025

Check out the Antique Boats Friday and Saturday

They don’t make ’em like they used to. Antique boat owners take great care of their boats, and they like to get together to admire each other’s work. Strolling the James C. Acheson Marina in Downtown Port Huron and looking at the boats is available to the public and is completely free. Many boat owners love it when you ask them questions about their boats, so don’t be shy. The boats will be on display on both September 5th and 6th. The Kids’ Activities are planned for September 6th.

Free Boat Rides and Free Life Jackets

Free boat rides are available on Saturday, September 6th, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Acheson Marina. Look for the signs. Free life jackets for kids (to keep) will be given until they run out, compliments of the Port Huron Rotary Foundation and the Port Huron Noon Optimist Club. Life jackets are available to borrow for all riders.

Kids’ Activities from 11:00-1:00 on Saturday

Kids will find plenty to do with Ducks and Boats, Wooden Boat Decorating, Sidewalk Chalk, Bubbles, Face Painting, and Ballon Twisting. The kids’ activities are scheduled from 11:00-1:00. The full schedule can be found here: https://boattheblue.org/2025-event-schedule.

America’s Best Frisbee Dog Show 3:00 Saturday

Have you heard of Zeke the Wonderdog? The halftime shows at Michigan State University featuring Zeke are legendary. That same energy will be at the west end of the Acheson Marina at 3:00 p.m. on September 6th. The show is free to watch and is very family-friendly.

Food Vendors and More

While enjoying the boats and the atmosphere, you might get hungry. There will be food vendors on-site and downtown restaurants are just a short walk away. There will also be live music from 11:00-5:00, and classic cars on display. There is plenty of parking in Downtown Port Huron, and the forecast is for mild temperatures.
