Help build your tween’s creative process and vocabulary skills with some fun language and writing activities.

“Farcical Word Fun” will have kids play with their words and develop storytelling.  On October 1st we’ll go through the fundamentals of writing a short story, with humor encouraged.  Each participant will receive a half-lined booklet to write and illustrate their story.  On November 5th we’ll play with rhyming words and learn about creating rhythm in poems (or song lyrics).  On December 3rd we’ll use root words, prefixes and suffixes to “make up” words, and then have fun using them in sentences and for making silly story.

Best suited for children 9 to 12 years old.
