Big Decision

Choosing where to go for those early years of school is a big decision for many families. Visiting an open house is a great way to get a feel for a school and to ask questions of the teachers and staff.

Open House

St. Mary/McCormick Catholic Academy in Port Huron is giving families a chance to check out their Preschool, Young 5s, and Kindergarten programs at their Open House on March 18th, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The St. Mary campus is located at 1429 Ballentine Street, in the north end of Port Huron.

What Do Current Parents Say?

Parents at St. Mary/McCormick were polled on their impressions of the school. Parents shared that they appreciated the day and time flexibility offered to families of young children, saying, “The flexibility that we were offered for our daughter and the staff has been amazing.”

Freedom to Excel

Another parent said, “My son amazes me every day with what he learns.”. Parents also commented on the freedom to get to know the students individually that is possible with smaller class sizes: “(Staff) have taken the time to really get to know our son and his interests. They are incredibly kind and caring, and he lights up when he sees them. That’s the exact type of community we hope for for our sons. We also really appreciated that he had the opportunity to participate in the Christmas program. I appreciate that communication is so consistent, and that we always feel in the know.”

Stay Through 8th Grade

St. Mary/McCormick Catholic Academy offers Catholic education to students from age three to 8th grade. Many students stay at St. Mary/McCormick for ten to eleven years, from preschool to eighth grade.

Tuition assistance programs are available and customized to each family’s needs.
