The St. Clair County Library System is kicking off this year’s Summer Reading Program as soon as school is out for the summer. The kick-off events started June 17th.
This year’s theme is “All Together Now”. There are unique events throughout the summer based on the theme. You can find all of them on the BlueWaterParent.com Events Calendar and on the SCCLS calendar.
The Summer Reading Program rewards kids for reading by giving them access to chances to win cool prizes like toys and games and gift cards. The more you read, the more chances you get to enter the raffles. Kids are also rewarded by becoming better readers and expanding their vocabularies and minds with the wonder of books.
Kids (and adults!) have from June 16th to August 12th to enter raffles for prizes. Reading progress can be logged online at https://stclaircountylibrary.readsquared.com/ or with paper reading logs that can be obtained at library branches.
