Celebrate Acoustic Music, Art, and Community
Thumbfest, the popular annual festival of acoustic music, art, and family fun, returns to downtown Lexington on Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 10:00am to 10:00pm. With perfect weather in the forecast, the village will come alive with performances across multiple stages, local vendors, and great food options.
Plan Your Music Schedule
This year’s free festival features six stages with live music featuring 53 different acts. With so many performances spread throughout the village, having a game plan will help you catch all your favorite artists. Check out the full artist lineup and stage map on the Blue Water Folk Society Schedule.
Kids’ Activity Tent (12:00pm-5:00pm)
Families can head down toward the boardwalk behind the Harbor Stage at Tierney Park for hands-on fun. The kids’ area features crafts, interactive drumming sessions, and other activities from noon to 5:00pm.
Parking and Festival Tips
- Shuttle Service: Parking is tight at Thumbfest and fills up quickly, but free shuttle buses will run continuously throughout the day to bring visitors in from peripheral parking lots so you can get where you need to go.
- Seating: Pack lawn chairs or a picnic blanket to make yourself comfortable at the outdoor stages.
