ABME Pop-Up Shop Recycles Dresses into New Products

This one checks all the boxes for things that are important to teen girls: being creative, learning business skills, and being good stewards of the environment by keeping usable items out of the landfills.

A Beautiful Me, a Port Huron non-profit that helps girls and women with a full range of personal development skills, is hosting a pop-up shop at their Downtown Port Huron storefront, The Closet. The shop will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on December 3. The shop is located at 235 Huron Avenue.

The teen participants are using dresses that are donated to The Closet, but are not able to be sold, and using their newly learned sewing skills to create new items. For more information about the program, click here.
