Stressing about buying school supplies? Eligible families can get free backpacks full of supplies at this year’s backpack giveaways.

Children must be present to get the backpacks and recipients must live in St. Clair County.

Backpacks will be distributed via drive-through on Wednesday, August 9th at Community Action at 3403 Lapeer Road from 9:30 a.m. to noon.

The Capac giveaway will be Wednesday, August 16th at the Capac Schools Open House.

Yale giveaways will be during the district’s building open houses. Check with Yale Schools for dates and times.

East China giveaways will be during the elementary school open houses on August 30th and the middle school open houses on August 23rd and 24th.
