Can’t Find a Childcare Center? Open Your Own

Quality child care is in high demand, with shortages forcing some parents out of the workforce. Maybe the answer is for entrepreneurs to open their own childcare businesses and provide income for themselves while helping with the childcare shortages.

Those interested in seeing what it takes to open a licensed child care business in the State of Michigan can register for a “One Stop Shop” webinar that lays out the requirements and steps needed to get started. Licensed child care centers have to follow specific state guidelines and are also eligible to be part of state and federal payment programs.

The webinar is coming up quickly: September 15th at noon. To register, go to https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZckdOCgqTorHtPD0K2yoeJfzDXzzhZSW490.

Can’t make the webinar? The Caring for MI Future program, part of the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs offers “One Stop Shop” Navigators that guide potential childcare providers through getting started and expanding existing childcare centers and homes.
