CMH Art Contest: “Keep Going…Keep Growing”

St. Clair County Community Mental Health is looking for creativity from area youth to help them spread the message of perseverance. This year’s theme for the annual art contest is “Keep Going…Keep Growing”.

The goal of the contest is “to help educate both young people and adults about the value of connecting mind and body for individuals who live with mental health conditions, intellectual/
developmental disabilities, and/or substance use disorders”, according to CMH.

Students in elementary school are tasked with designing a bookmark using the mantra “I Am Growing: each challenge is an opportunity to learn.”

Middle School students are challenged to write fiction, non-fiction, or poetry to express themselves and the theme of accepting challenges as opportunities for growth.

High School students are asked to create a handmade art piece to represent the theme of “Keep Going…Keep Growing”.

There are cash prizes and other recognition for winners. The deadline for entry is February 3rd.
