Michigan 4th and 5th-grade students can get a “Cold is Cool” Passport app for discounted skiing at 29 participating ski areas. The passport gives the students up to three free lift tickets or trail passes and additional discounts on the slopes and in the ski shops.
The Michigan Snowsports Industries Association offers the program and charges $30 for the app. Part of the cost goes to the charitable organization, MIsnow.
