SC4’s Mission Lunar Quest has Public Launch on Dec. 10

Are you free on December 10th? How does a trip to the moon sound? Mission: Lunar Quest at the St. Clair County Community College Challenge Learning Center in Port Huron will have a public mission on December 10th.

The public is invited to sign up for the 34 available spots. The cost is $25 and Mission: Lunar Quest goes from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Participants need to be at least 10 years of age. Adults are welcome to participate.

There is nothing like the Challenger Learning Center at SC4 in the state. The fully immersive space-themed adventure is used as a team-building experience for students, educators, corporations, and the community.

Kristin Copenhaver, SC4 Vice-President of Communication and Special Projects said, “We’re so pleased to announce this open mission date. If you haven’t yet checked out the Challenger Learning Center, this is an incredible opportunity to do so. Come and join the crew for this mission as individuals or with your families, friends or teammates. See what the excitement is all about!”

The mission simulates a moon launch to seek out long-term human habitat. Those on the mission will have to explore biology, geology, weather, robotics, life support, and other STEM-related disciplines to carry out the mission.

You can Register for the Dec. 10 mission at stclair.nbsstore.net/open-lunar-quest-mission-december-10. Mission: Lunar Quest is open to learners in 5th grade and beyond. Support may be available. Contact us with inquiries and questions at experiencecenter@sc4.edu or (810) 989-5789.
