Summertime is reading time! Each year, the St. Clair County Library System (SCCLS) hosts a summer reading program centered around a fun, engaging theme. This year, the library is inviting readers of all ages to travel back in time and “Unearth a Story” with a prehistoric, dinosaur-themed challenege.
The program runs from June 13th through August 15th, and particpants can easily track their reading progress using the Beanstack app.
Jump In Anytime!
If you missed the June 13th kickoff event, don’t worry—it is not too late to join the fun! The “Unearth a Story” reading challenge runs all the way through August 15th, and St. Clair County cardholders can register and start earning raffle tickets at any point during the summer.

All Ages Invited to Read, Track, and Win!
The summer reading program is completely free and open to all library cardholder. The program is broken down into four age grouops:
- Early Childhood
- Children
- Teens
- Adults.
Again, cardholders can register at any point during the program. As you track your reading or complete fun activities at your local library branches, you’ll earn raffle tickets toward a variety of amazing prizes.
