For 8th through 12th-grade students who have an interest in exploring a special education teaching career while having fun, Woodland Developmental Center‘s LINK program could be a good fit. Peer-to-peer supporters are needed to enhance the Woodland program.
Woodland Developmental Center, located in Marysville, is St. Clair County’s center-based program/school for individuals 3-26 years of age who have developmental disabilities. LINK volunteers will assist with social activities and skill-building. The time commitment is Tuesday through Thursday from 8:15-3:00 for four weeks over the summer. Volunteers get a free lanyard and t-shirt.
Woodland is accepting applications for the program until May 10th, 2024. Contact School Social Worker Chelsey Hull at 810-455-4366 or hull.chelsey@sccresa.org with any questions.
