Sophisticatz Karaoke in Fort Gratiot’s Birchwood Mall has found its niche. It creates the setting for memorable experiences for the whole family, combining music, imagination, and incredible settings. The next themed adventure, a Fairytale Tea Party with Cinderella, is planned for May 6th from noon to 1:30 p.m.
Sophisticatz recently hosted a Frozen-Themed Meet and Eat, which featured characters from the blockbuster animated movie, Frozen, provided by members of the Port Huron Civic Theatre, and themed activities and snacks for families. It was a hit. They also hosted a very successful Harry Potter inspired Weekend of Wizardry in January.
The upcoming production of Cinderella provided another opportunity for a collaboration. The Fairytale Party with Cinderella will pick up where the Frozen-themed event left off. Sophisticatz owner, Eilish Warner, said, “Our Frozen-Themed Meet and Eat was so popular that we reached out again to the Port Huron Civic Theatre for another partnered event. They were just as excited as we were to partner again for this event! And since we just finished construction on our lobby, expanding and updating our layout and equipment, we figured this was a great way to welcome the community into our newly redesigned store!”
Warner said, “The story of Cinderella has always struck me as a very magical story, and her castle is always closely associated with her, so we decided to take the fairytale to a whole new level in our store with a whimsical fairytale tea party. Cinderella was gracious enough to be our very special guest, and she even offered to bring a few friends with her, so we cannot wait for this event!”
Warner said that she and her staff learned from their previous events and have made some amazing upgrades to the storefront and to the event. She said, “I don’t want to spoil too much, but we are really stepping it up with this event. Our Fairytale Tea Party with Cinderella is not an event to miss!”
Ever the team player, Warner sent a shout-out to her collaborators, saying, “I also highly recommend the Port Huron Civic Theatre’s production of Cinderella. The production is May 19-21st at McMorran Theatre in Downtown Port Huron. They are an amazing and very talented group, and all these amazing events would not have been possible without them!”
The Fairytale Tea Party is May 6th from noon to 1:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 per person, with children 3 years old and younger free with an accompanying ticketed adult.
