Free Help for Navigating Special Education Options

If you are a Michigan parent or caregiver of a child with special needs, navigating the education system can be difficult. While there are many services available, determining the right ones and making sure your child’s needs are met is complicated.

The Michigan Alliance for Families offers many virtual seminars throughout the year so that parents and caregivers can become informed and realistic advocates for their children.

The full list of learning opportunities can be found here.

Seminars include topics such as “Virtual and Cyber and Web, Oh My! Understanding School Options” and “Self Determination in the IEP”, among many others.

In 2022, the seminars were attended by over 2,000 parents, over 1800 professionals, and 30 students.
