Michigan Alliance for Families Offers Back-to-School Virtual Seminars for Parents of Special Education Students

For parents of children who use special education services, getting ready for back-to-school is more than buying a new backpack and lunchbox. Making sure that accommodations are communicated to the right people and making sure the student is prepared, especially if there is a transition to a new school, are critical for getting off to a good start.

The Michigan Alliance for Families has several webinars scheduled for August.

They are:

August 9 – Planning Your Child’s Return to School

August 16 – Heading to Preschool with an IEP

August 23 – Level Up: What to Consider for Your Student When Moving to Middle or High School

August 30 – Your New SPIN on the School Year
